Christ Church's Sunday School Program.
| PICTURE THUMNAILS GO HERE | Our Sunday School over the years has been blessed
with many talented and devoted teachers. Women and Men from our parish have felt the
calling to teach God's word. Probably the best known was Claire Huey who devoted over 50 years to most of us, our children, and even some of grand-children. A plaque on the door to the Sunday school room honors her for her dedication to this calling. Our Sunday School is currently under the direction of Lea Clark and Sara Baise. The children learn Bible stories, the Church's' doctrine, Church traditions and their meanings, the Book of Common Prayer, and the importance of serving God in our daily lives. The older children of the church also serve God by performing Acolyte duties. As always, the Sunday School is a hub of activity for the whole community. The children are involved with projects the entire year. The projects include: a fall food drive for the Ironton City Mission, Easter baskets for the local children's home, and various other charitable works. There are also many fellowship activities throughout the year including: skating parties, sleep-overs at the Church, summer camp, just to list a few. We here at Christ Episcopal Church are very proud of our Sunday School program. We realize these children are our future. We encourage families to visit our church and experience the love and warmth of fellowship that we have to give. |
If you have any questions or comments concerning the Sunday School please contact Lea Clark c/o Christ Episcopal Church, P.O.Box 555, Ironton, OH, 45638, or email at bunnie1@bright.net .
God Bless.
